Why Boxie exists
A point of sale built with care — and a story behind it.
In loving memory
This POS platform was created in loving memory of the late Joyce Beckford‑Lawrence, who always ensured that she utilized the best cash registers and POS systems for over 30 years. One of her last projects before she sadly passed was an effort to obtain an upgraded POS solution that met all of her business needs. Unfortunately, she was not able to see it come to fruition — this project was done in her honor.

Boxie POS is designed, built and operated by Xyclotec Solutions, an independent software company that builds products the way Joyce ran her counters: dependable, exacting, and never satisfied with “good enough.”
We took on point of sale because small businesses deserve tools with the polish of the big platforms — without the lock-in, the surprise fees, or a register that goes dark when the internet does. So we built the whole stack ourselves: the desktop register that keeps selling offline, the realtime cloud that mirrors every sale to your phone, and the sync layer between them that never loses your work.
Boxie started with food service and is growing into a family — retail and salon editions are on the way — all on one platform, one account, and one promise: software that shows up for your business every single day.
